It's YAYTIME. Let's go!
Do you like hearing people talk seriously about cartoons? What about 80’s cartoons? Well, the Saturday Supercast is back with a new episode all about boys who grew up loving cartoons marketed to girls. Nowadays that’s not a big thing because we’ve grown as a society…but the 80’s were a dark time! But at least the cartoons were pretty rad (and filled with a ton of scary dragons). In this episode I team with Jerzy Drozd (Comics are Great) and Shawn Robare (Branded in the 80’s) and we talk for 2 whole hours about the original My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and Jem. We can pretty excited at times and even break into song. Our enthusiasm for The Misfits (are their songs better?) knows now bounds! Does that make us Brony’s? Boycakes? Jem and the Manograms? Or just three guys who appreciate things that are awesome?  Decide for yourselves by checking out the podcast! Oh, and if you like the show, spread the word, and let us know what cartoons you’d like us to analyze in future episodes.

jerzydrozd:

It’s the final Comics Are Great web show of the year as we’re joined by Dave Roman and Raina Telgemeier for a discussion on the differences between French and North American comics festivals.

I was told by the production team that this was the jolliest episode yet, so it just may be the perfect thing to watch/listen to while you’re enjoying the upcoming holiday.
